Formation for Eucharistic Ministers

It was a privilege to welcome Fr Chris Thomas and Sr Moira Meeghan from Iraneaus to St Clare’s Parish Hall, Sefton Park, Liverpool to deliver the Eucharistic Minister Formation programme for new ministers in Liverpool South Pastoral Area on Saturday 7 September 2019.

Coming together from five parishes in the Pastoral Area (and one beyond!) it was a chance to meet others and make connections across the normal parish lines as we were able to benefit from the insights and reflections given by the Irenaeus team enabling each one of us to feel ready for the ministry which we have been called to.

Some lively discussion was sparked as we touched on the teachings of Vatican II which I am sure can be explored at greater depth in the future.

Thank you to all who gave up a Saturday and participated, and to the Ireneaus project for a most engaging and insightful preparation to serve our communities.
