Fourth Sunday of Advent

I’ll be at St Charles and St Thomas More this fourth Sunday of Advent and my prayer is for all of you in gratitude for your support and kindness in this, the end of the first year of the Pastoral Associate Pilot Programme.   It has been a joyful experience full of learning, listening and discovery – not least of the wonderful Liverpool spirit.  I am both humbled and proud to be working alongside you in this time and in this place. As we all open our hearts a little wider to share the love of the Christ Child perhaps we can extend that love to include those who may feel alone, anxious or isolated over the festivities. I ask for your prayers as I take a short break over Christmas with my boys to be with my mum who, at 88, is still managing on her own. May you all experience the peace and joy of a love filled Christmas.
