Ripples of Faith
32nd Sunday of Ordinary Time
It’s been a busy week with Synod meetings– the passion which we show for our faith and church is truly humbling (it’s worth attending if you can, to give your proposals on the theme of Called & Gifted by God) – and two funerals. Attending the Requiem Mass of Bishop Emeritus Brian Noble in Shrewsbury Diocese was testament of how the ripples of faith from one individual can have a profound impact on a diocese. At the funeral of a parishioner in my home parish, the ripples of the faith she lived so fully in her everyday life, ran deep through our community as we gathered in love to remember her. Both are buried in the same churchyard and their witness, together with all those souls who have gone before each and every one of us, will continue to sustain us. A quote from Leo Buscaglia “Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.” God Bless, Helen. PS If anyone needs a lift to the Catechists’ training in Wrightington on 16/11 do get in touch.
